Important Event Updates

Greetings Gravel Riders and Racers!

We can’t believe that after over a year and a half of anticipation, our first annual Ruby Roubaix Gravel Fondo is right around the corner! Here are some important details regarding our event.

  • Start times are as follows:  Ruby Loop-6:30 am, Secret Pass-8:00 am, Pleasant Valley and Lee, 9:00 am. ALL racers MUST be at the starting line 15 minutes to start for a safety briefing. There will be an escorted lead out for all events.

  • If you registered last year and were transferred over to Bike Reg, please make sure you have updated us with your date of birth and emergency contact person and phone number.  If you already did that, thank you!

  • E-bikes are allowed but pedal assist only. AERO BARS ARE PROHIBITED.

  • You MUST check in at all aid stations on your loop. This can be a slow roll through as long as you are able to communicate your bib number with aid station volunteers.

  • Road conditions are generally good, although it is gravel, so be alert for rocks, potholes and other potential obstacles. Conditions are rocky through the Indian Reservation between Pleasant Valley and Lee due to recent road grading. Harrison descent has washboards, some loose sand and rocks as well as poor visibility on some corners.  PLEASE do not ride above your skill level. Lower tire pressures recommended. Ruby Valley is beautiful, smooth and fast Mag Chloride. Fort Halleck Road is as usual somewhat bumpy and rocky with potholes and some washboards, but actually in better shape than normal.

  • Weather forecast per Windy app is 90 degrees for a high at 2:00 p.m. Winds will be picking from the W-SW in the afternoon. Aid stations are generally 15 miles apart, so you have adequate opportunity to hydrate and refuel as needed. You can visit Current Weather Conditions for Lamoille as well as Current Road Conditions.

  • Please bring some cash if you would like to purchase a second microbrew after the event. We will be selling our 16 oz. stainless steel Ruby Roubaix pint glasses for $5 which will be filled with a complimentary Buckaroo Brew IPA from our local Ruby Mountain Brewery.
